Guests are always welcome at FBC Albemarle for all of our ministries. We want you to feel at ease while visiting so here are answers to a few frequently asked questions.

Where is the church located?

First Baptist Church is located in downtown Albemarle at the corner of North St. and 2nd St. Our address is  202 N. 2nd St. Albemarle, NC. 

What should I wear? 

We want you to feel comfortable when you come to FBC. Most people wear dress clothes on Sunday mornings. On Wednesday nights and other occasions, people generally dress casually. However, regardless of what you wear, we will be simply delighted to have you visit us.

Where do I park and enter?

If you are a first-time or second-time guest, we have parking spots designated for you in our back parking lot near the portico (drive-thru). You can access the parking lot from North Street. Enter through the doors under the portico and a greeter will assist you on Sunday mornings. On Wednesday nights, park in the back parking lot and enter through the Fellowship Hall doors located right of the playground. 

How do I know where to go?

Greeters are at the entry doors of the church from 9:30-9:50 to welcome you and to show you to Sunday School classes. 

Where do my children go?

On Sunday mornings, we have Sunday school for children of all ages and youth. A greeter will assist you to find the right Sunday School classes. During worship, we have Extended Session for birth-pre-K. For children K-2nd grade, a separate Children's Church is available midway through the worship service. Children will stay with the parents until the time for Children's Sermon where they will be escorted out of worship afterwards for Children's Church (held in the Media Center just off the Sanctuary).

How can I find out more information about the church or meet the pastor? 

The pastor and the ministerial staff are always available to greet our guests before and after Sunday morning worship. They are also available by appointment during the week in the church office at 704-982-2111 or by the emails here.

How can I get involved? 

We have a variety of groups, Bible studies, annual/monthly/weekly activities, missions projects and volunteer opportunities for you!
